3:25 Adam My favourite case in point of an example of Grant Morrison thinking is he was writing for Justice League.

3:39 Adam And there was a a bad guy who had developed a sort of exoskeleton suit.

3:45 Adam And you could program someone's data into it and it made you like them.

3:49 Adam And this guy had set it to be Superman.

3:52 Adam So he could defeat Superman, no one else could stop him.

3:57 Adam And then finally he was stopped because Batman reprogrammed the suit to the data of Dr. Stephen Hawking.

4:05 Unknown And basically, yeah, basically made him a paraplegic.

4:10 Unknown And knock the fuck out of him.

4:12 Adam And that that that kind of says a lot about Grant Morrison to me, that sort of like thinking, you know.

5:53 Adam And they basically get told the story that they, the Mochery has a library of everyone's story of how they ended up in the Mochery.

6:02 Adam And um, yeah, so they do sort of like four tales from that or whatever.

6:09 Adam No, I thought that was really good.

6:12 Adam Clancy Brown is the uh, I don't know, the Undertaker.

6:22 Adam And it's Clancy Brown, I feel channeling a bit of Angus Scrim from Phantasm.

6:34 Adam I almost I I I would almost say it's one that we may cover one day or something like that.

6:41 Adam Because it has that, it has that same sort of feeling as say Creep Show, where it's one you'll just end up going back to.

9:29 Unknown Um, I finally got round because I bought it on Blu-ray, I believe it was Shada exclusive initially.

9:35 Unknown Uh, but then it got a Blu-ray release I picked up, uh, Critters Attack.

9:42 Unknown It's like, it's a mini series, oh, it's not a mini series.

9:45 Unknown I think they did like eight episodes or something 10 minutes each.

9:51 Unknown Uh, yeah, and then when you put it all together, it was just released on Blu-ray as like a one long film.

9:57 Unknown And it's basically, unfortunately, it's like if Disney, Disney Kids Club did Critters.

10:05 Unknown It's just lots of annoying teenagers running around and saving the day.

10:11 Chris So is this the most recent Critters.

10:15 Unknown Yeah, I was really excited for it when I heard it was coming out.

10:19 Unknown I was like, oh, maybe it's going to be a reboot and it's going to get things started again.

10:24 Unknown But yeah, it just, I mean it it was done on a fairly low budget.

10:28 Unknown Um.

10:29 Unknown So, you know, they did well to pull it off.

10:31 Unknown But yeah, I, I think it's aimed at a much younger audience, unfortunately.

10:35 Unknown Which, which so, I mean that's good if it's going to get people into it.

10:40 Unknown But yeah, I think people who love Critters aren't going to enjoy this as the new entry in the franchise.

10:44 Jennifer And I Zombie.

10:46 Unknown Yeah, yeah.

10:46 Jennifer Because I love I Zombie, but I haven't watched anything else like that because I think, you know, one series like that is enough.

11:21 Unknown It's really, I watched it when it first came out and I really enjoyed it.

11:26 Unknown But if you'd asked me anything about it, I couldn't tell you anything apart from Billy Connelly's in it.

11:31 Unknown So I decided to go back and rewatch it.

11:34 Unknown Yeah, and it is, it's a really good film.

11:35 Unknown It's really enjoy, really funny.

11:40 Unknown Yeah, just good all round amusing for an hour and a half.

11:44 Unknown As I say, it's nothing massively original, um, so the it's the concept.

11:48 Unknown that everyone now has these zombie slaves.

11:54 Unknown And they work for, so everyone's got servants but they're all zombies.

11:59 Unknown And they've got a collar on so that if they misbehave, basically you can electric shock them.

12:04 Unknown Something goes wrong with his collar, um, and he becomes the kid's like friend.

12:12 Adam All right, okay.

12:13 Unknown Yeah.

12:13 Unknown But then he gets taken away because they think he's misbehaved, so they take him to a correctional facility and the kid goes to break him out.

12:19 Unknown But it's yeah.

12:20 Unknown It's good fun.

12:21 Unknown So that's what I'll watch.

12:24 Unknown Caught up with the second series on BBC of Ghost.

12:30 Adam Oh, yeah.

12:30 Adam Any good?

12:32 Unknown Better than the first season.

12:33 Jennifer I thought so, yeah, it gets more interesting, I suppose because now you know the characters, they can sort of move on from that.

12:39 Jennifer Um, yeah, we just watched the last episode, didn't we today.

12:42 Jennifer And yeah, that's yeah, it's quite nice.

12:44 Jennifer Um, quite clever bringing different things into it and, yeah, I liked it.

12:49 Adam And obviously like the horrible histories cast.

12:54 Unknown Oh, yeah, so like they are all absolutely hilarious.

12:58 Unknown Um, yeah, and the characters they all play are brilliant, obviously.

13:01 Jennifer Very different, but very, yeah, funny each of them, definitely.

13:07 Unknown And finally, I went back because I was, I was convinced I knew this film inside out and then when I watched it, I only actually remembered about 10 minutes of it, so I don't quite know what happened there.

13:15 Unknown Uh, Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman from 1943, I went back and rewatched again.

13:22 Unknown Oh.

13:24 Unknown Oh, and I enjoyed it so much.

13:26 Unknown Oh, much, it's such a great film.

13:29 Chris So how, how do they set it up so that they meet?

13:33 Unknown So, um, uh.

13:37 Unknown Larry Tolbert has come back to life ultimately after, um.

13:43 Unknown So he was buried with his ring and stuff, some people prized his coffin open and released him again.

13:52 Unknown Um.

13:53 Unknown And he's now realised that he can't die because he's a werewolf.

13:57 Unknown Um, but he decides that Frankenstein, Victor Frankenstein who's now dead, if he can get hold of his diary, and he can find out how Frankenstein created life, he can use that to kill himself ultimately, to reverse engineer it.

14:12 Unknown So it's him.

14:14 Unknown And then when he gets back to the old Frankenstein house, he finds the creature is buried in ice underneath the castle.

14:19 Unknown So he digs the creature out, and it's, yeah, him and the creature kind of.

14:23 Chris Do they get on well?

14:25 Unknown They do in this one.

14:26 Unknown It's the later one, I think, where they end up knocking seven shades out.

14:30 Unknown Is it Ghost of Frankenstein?

14:32 Adam I think it's ghost, but also I think it's when you start getting Dracula involved.

14:35 Adam Because he's a conniving shit, so he's always.

14:37 Unknown The two of them against each other.

14:41 Adam But yeah, is that the one where Bella Lagosi is the monster?

16:22 Adam No, no, I think it's, we got it through Arrow, I'm not sure who it is to be honest, I'm not sure if it's network or, but it is, yeah, it's one of the, it's like a subsidiary label.

16:37 Unknown I, I confess I watched this film about two days before I ordered the Blu-ray.

16:48 Unknown But Adam informs me that the print on the new one is absolutely spectacular, so.

17:16 Adam I think it's just been very the negative's just been so well looked after.

17:21 Adam And it does look, yeah, it looks really good.

17:28 Jennifer Is it like how impressed we've got with how they do CGI animals now.

17:33 Unknown Yeah, exactly the same thing, the technology is just got so good that they can do it much better now.

17:42 Unknown So Chris, on your first viewing of Curse of the Crimson Alter, what did you make of it?

17:47 Chris Well, like a fine brandy that is completely wasted on women.

18:16 Adam Thing is, it gets to me though is that there's the element where you've got that moment in there and it is funny.

18:21 Adam But now there's a part of me that's going, why isn't anyone said to him, you know what, Professor Marsh?

18:32 Adam Just make the circle complete.

18:37 Adam Because then it implies, it also implies that in that universe Boris Karloff exists, therefore Boris Karloff's films exist.
